Jumped on this banging breakcore party last min, as sadly a few friends had to drop off. Super fun time!

Headliners Only Vol. 2
*A Formal Attire Mandatory Event*

Much like last year, redHat and Statas have meticulously curated another event of grand proportions to celebrate redHat’s reluctant trip around the sun. If you’re not already familiar with “Nameless” Organized Damage’s HQ, you are in for a treat. Nameless expeditiously expresses an assault of audiovisual cacophony within the confines of a smaller space (than most venues).

May we reiterate…
“Its a celebration, bitches!”
-Rick James

Just like last year, expect to come dressed to the nines. This is a formal attire mandatory event. Think: Suits and dresses (please go easy on the high heels heel wearing people, this is a venue with multiple sets of stairs; drinking and walking in heels is not a good combination). Button-ups and dress pants will suffice, but don’t come NOT dressed to impress. Everyone will point and laugh at you and nobody wants that, aaaand you’ll be turned away at the door.

The selection of performers for this event has been specially organized (through the damage) over the past several months to give you a very special, intimate audiovisual experience. This venue is on the smaller side so keep in mind; tickets will be limited.

Those absolute monsters are the following headliners:

DJ DONNA SUMMER
Cock Rock Disco
New York City, New York

DJ Donna Summer is a name that is always associated with the infancy and origins of American Breakcore. Donna Summer is the founder of Cock Rock Disco – a record label which showcased a pool of immeasurably influential talent that to this day is inspiring breakcore artists worldwide. Fresh off a sold out show in Belgium for Breakcore Gives Me Wood, DJ Donna Summer’s gonna bring the heat to Philadelphia! We couldn’t even be able to begin to try to pinpoint the last time DJ Donna Summer performed in the USA – let alone in Philadelphia! It’s an absolute blessing to be able to bear witness to this musical figurehead that has paved the way for what we know as contemporary Breakcore!

ARCADE TRAUMA (FIRST US PERFORMANCE)
Core Wars UK, Sound Advice Rave
Liverpool, England

I (redHat) had the pleasure of meeting Arcade Trauma in his hometown 2 months ago. Witnessing him, a younger artist, spin a vinyl breakcore set filled with multiple classics as well as new bangers was intense. Holding down the scene in Liverpool as a Breakcore staple and fresh off a release with Nagazaki on Prototypes Records, this artist is not to be missed! It is with extreme pleasure that we are once again showcasing an artist from across the pond (in the UK) for the first time.

BLAERG
Immigrant Breast Nest, Bottle Imp
Fort Wayne, Indiana

When Statas and redHat were organizing shows under the name of Super Collider, BLAERG was one of the first few artists they had booked. redHat had received his album “Dysphoric Sonorities” from a Pittsburgher friend, Cutups. After listening to it, he contacted them via email expressing interest of a booking. BLAERG obliged and threw it the fuck down. It’s been damn near a decade, if not more, since BLAERG has blasted his beats in Philly. It’s a blessing to have ‘em back, fresh off a show in Chicago from our homies at Mobcore.

WOFO
South England Hate Club
New York City, New York

Fresh off a sold out show for Breakcore Gives Me Wood, the legendary Belgian breakcore outfit, this up and coming artist is not to be overlooked. His recent album off of South England Hate Club is a relieving respite from the sonic monotony that has plagued some parts of the breakcore scene. The literal son (by birth) of Jason Forrest, he’s not gonna anything short of amazing in due time! We are blessed to have this artist showcase his talents at our humble venue for his inaugural U.S. appearance!

XANOPTICON
Peace Off, Hymen
San Francisco, California

There isn’t much that hasn’t already been said about this prolific broken beat producer, but we will. This individual has been featured in multiple countries across the world, multiple states across this country, and has been pressed on multiple labels internationally. His live set is a sight to behold and will take places you won’t imagine. If you’re not familiar with his catalog, take a moment to listen to few pieces of it. Now, multiply that tenfold, and that’s what you’re in for!

EXT EST
Industrial Detroit
Detroit, Michigan

This artist has been a main stay in Detroit for decades. EXT EST is solely responsible for catering to the broken beat scene in their city, making a name for themselves under multiple projects whilst coordinating phenomenal line ups consistently in the city of Detroit. You can’t be in Detroit nightlife for more than a few weeks and not by proxy be directly affected by this individual’s efforts.

BODY NOSTRIL (Opening Ceremony)
New York City, New York
Immigrant Breast Nest, Barcode

Returning to Headliners Only after a stellar performance last year, the artist formerly known as Speak Onion is returning for an opening set for Headliners Only Vol. 2. I (redHat) can’t forget the reason why I started doing events like this in the first place. Speak Onion dropped the phenomenal wisdom of how they started creating and doing events. They were sick of non stop sub par music events that didn’t showcase the counterculture side of things, so they banded with their ilk to do it. The rooftop of Nameless will be graced with a wall of ambient sound from Body Nostril to start off the night. Come early to witness this amazing artist perform on our roof deck, the first time we have ever done such a thing.

STATAS
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Organized Damage, No Room for Talent

Philadelphia Breakcore, before Philadelphia WAS Breakcore. This OG breakcoreist has toured multiple times across North America. If you think about where the hell were Breakcore events during its early days, this artist has been well invested in making what Breakcore in Philly – no, AMERICA is now today. Co-running this event and responsible for half the line up, don’t sleep on this long running quiet titan of Breakcore.

REDHAT
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Organized Damage

Just some Philadelphia Breakcore cunt. It’s also their birthday, they play last. Fuck them. Don’t stick around this long unless you REALLY wanna give them a hard time.
